Has Your Home Become An Insect Park?

Zap away pesky flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches with a reliable insect killer spray.

Keeping the home clean and presentable every day takes a lot of work. But the end result is totally worth it! It is a pleasure to walk into a house that is free of dirt and dust, devoid of any mess, and which always smells pleasant.

But your beautiful home can also attract some unwelcome intruders, and getting rid of them is never as easy as dusting the furniture and mopping the floors. We’re referring to insects and pests that enter the home – primarily, flies, ants, mosquitoes, spiders and cockroaches – that enter the home and make it their own. Not only are these insects troublesome – they get into your food, furniture and even clothes – but they multiply rapidly as well. Soon, you have entire insect colonies breeding in your house, and you are at your wit’s end.

You might try enrolling for a pest control treatment in your house, but there is always a chance that the insects return after a few weeks. When this happens, it is time to take stern action and zap these pesky insects on sight. Arm yourself with Mortein Powergard All Insect Killer spray before you get started.

Reclaim your home from insects

While flies and mosquitoes take the aerial route, cockroaches, ants, bugs and spiders stay close to the floors and walls. Flies, ants and cockroaches have an affinity for exposed food and drink, and even food rotting in the garbage pail, and they can spread infection via the food one consumes. Both flies and cockroaches spread disease when they pick up germs from one surface and transport it to another. Consuming food contaminated by these insects can cause diarrhoea and vomiting, among other illnesses.

Meanwhile, mosquitoes spread such serious illnesses like malaria, dengue and chikungunya. Just one bite from an infected mosquito is enough to allow the virus to incubate in the body and cause the illness. Bugs may also make you ill, because they suck human blood constantly and spread poison in the skin when they bite.

Meanwhile, spiders do not directly affect humans. But they build nests that attract dust, and spiders thrive on other insects like ants, flies and mosquitoes. So if there is a spider infestation in the house, you can be certain that there are other pests as well.

Don’t panic – it is very easy to zap these insects out of the house. Reach out for a can of Mortein Powergard All Insect Killer and follow these steps –

  • Find the areas of insect infestation. Cockroaches are always found in moist, warm areas of the house. Spray the insect killer under the kitchen sink, behind wash basins, inside drain pipes, in bathroom and kitchen corners, and under furniture.
  • Flies and mosquitoes do not nest inside the house, but keep flying about. Close the doors and windows and spray the air with Mortein insect killer spray. Keep the room closed for about 15 minutes before opening the windows and switching on the fan. All flies and mosquitoes will have perished by now.
  • Spiders can be sprayed with the insect killer on sight. Be sure to dispose of the bodies carefully because spiders secrete venom when they die.
  • Ants normally live inside cavities or gaps in the plaster, or a hole in the skirting or a corner of the room. Use the insect killer nozzle to spray the product deep into these areas to kill off the ants.
