Sitting on a chair while keeping the tall spine straight, lift your shoulder towards the ear while inhaling. Exhale while rolling your shoulder around and ending up by separating it from the ear. Perform these rolls for 4-5 times with alternate shoulders and then repeat the same pose with both the shoulders.

  1. Neck Stretch

While working with on the desk, people often end up with the stiff and compressed neck. So it becomes pivotal to relax that stiffness.

‘Neck Stretch’ can be practiced by sitting straight in such a way that your back touches chair. Inhale and align your head over the back as if you’re lifting heavy object on it. Now, hold that position and twist to your left in such a way that left ear touches the shoulder. Exhale while dropping ear to the shoulder. Repeat same with your right side. This stretching should be performed for several times.

You can actually feel lengthening of the neck and space creating of the vertebrae in the cervical spine.
